Hey, we are MTVkid!
We're an alt-pop-rock band from Helsinki, Finland. Our members are Sebastian Gregg (vocals, bass), Leo Krechmer (guitar), and Kristian Jokilahti (drums). MTVkid was started with the desire to create kick-ass, catchy songs that get stuck in your head and are a blast to both play and listen to live! We aim to deliver simple songs inspired by '90s and 2000s rock, with hard-hitting instrumentals and catchy melodies, and that’s pretty much it. We aim to avoid anything that isn’t necessary and to strip music down to its basics, trying to avoid overcomplicated arrangements and giving you songs that don’t need much else because they're just that good!
We write happy songs, energetic songs, slow songs, sad songs—really, any mood you can think of. However, we always stick to what we love, which is providing you with only the essentials for whatever mood you happen to be in, bringing you to a place both familiar and new (at least, we think so). Regardless of whether our songs are pessimistic, happy, slow, or fast, our one goal is to release as much emotion and have as much fun as possible. Each of the band members should probably go to therapy, but until then, playing music is as close as it gets. Music is a necessity for each of us, so we hope you'll enjoy us pouring our hearts out for you.
